Reber reaches North-Rhine Westphalia

Reber Logistik has acquired Expotrans, a North-Rhine Westphalia-based logistics provider, with retroactive effect from 1 January 2024 and thus expanded its reach in Germany.

The takeover will strengthen the company’s portfolio for the automotive and construction material industries and increase its capacity in the region. Specifically, Reber Logistik, which is headquartered in Rhineland-Palatine, gains access to Expotrans’ fleet of 77 vehicles with additional special equipment for handling and transporting flat glass.

Supported by a team of 90 employees, Expotrans attained a turnover of EUR 15 million last year. It has now grown to serve customers in the construction materials sector in Germany, the UK, Benelux and Eastern Europe.

Thomas Bormann, who has been leading the company since its founding in 2010, will remain at Reber Logistik as head of sales in Germany. Meanwhile, Reber’s fleet grows to over 300 units, while turnover is set for EUR 135 million. (mk)
