Railway terminal Vinnytsia opens

Lemtrans has opened the container terminal Vinnytsia (CTV) in Vinnytsia, southwest of the Ukrainian capital Kiev after having completed the first phase of construction. The USD 15 million facility is equipped with railway tracks, a container yard with a capacity of up to 2,000 teu, a warehouse and modern terminal equipment.

The first train has already arrived in Vinnytsia, handled by UZ Cargo Poland and UZ’s centre of transport service Liski. This regular service will connect the Polish port of Gdansk with CTV. In addition, cargo shippers will be able to regularly send containers to the terminals of the greater Odesa area, and in the future — by rail to Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.
