Railpool opens site for e-locomotives
The leasing company has invested more than EUR 20 million in the site in Hamburg Billbrook, Germany. Railpool’s Lokservice is currently the only private company in the Hamburg metropolitan area that carries out maintenance work on electric locomotives.
In the workshop, up to seven locomotives can be worked on at the same time. The range of services includes both operational maintenance work and overhauls. At the heart of the new site is the reprofiling facility. Featuring a floor space of around 4,000 sqm, it was built using energy-efficient construction methods. (ben)
