Rail-based B2B-Service launched
Russian Railways (RZD) has launched RZD Market, a new online marketplace for businesses that will enable buyers to find the desired products online, compare offers from different suppliers and order deliveries by rail. The company will collect proposals from manufacturers of industrial products from all over the country.
A system of reviews and ratings will also help buyers to choose the right option. All transactions will be completed electronically. Purchasers will receive one invoice for all the services, i.e. both purchase and delivery. RZD Logistics, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, will handle all the operations as operator of the service.
