Raft of IT improvements for Continental Cargo Carriers
Continental Cargo Carriers (CCC) is further investing in the efficiency and reliability of its operations by launching bespoke road freight and finance solutions to its customers. Since the business was acquired by Europa Worldwide Group in June 2018, CCC has carried out a raft of upgrades and updates business wide, including the latest implementation – Europa’s in-house developed Leonardo IT system.
CCC’s 20-year-old IT system has been overhauled and replaced by a new solution, developed by Europa specifically for CCC. The new solution has laid the foundation for the business to offer a flexible and responsive online portal for customers with the facility to book shipments, as well as functionalities for shipment tracking and freight labelling.
It will also simultaneously streamline invoicing and payments online. General manager at CCC Carlo Turner said: “The introduction of the new system, which has a dedicated project manager overseeing its implementation, has had an instantly positive impact on the operational experience at CCC." (mw)
