Providing veterans with flu vaccines
Kuehne + Nagel’s road logistics team has successfully delivered the flu vaccine to over 500,000 veterans and their families in the USA.
A request in September prompted the company to deliver 150 pallets of flu vaccines directly to over 40 Veterans Affairs hospitals in the country within ten days. The road logistics team crafted an operation using a multi-stop lane to optimise the route’s logistics. They used 14 temperature-controlled trucks for the vaccines.
Within days of the call, 42 deliveries had been made in 20 US states, providing flu shots to over half a million veterans and their families.
