Promoting belly capacity between Bangkok and Mumbai

The ECS Group, in the form of its subsidiary, AVS GSA Thailand, has entered into an agreement with Thai VietJet, creating improvements on the Bangkok–Mumbai route. The first shipment under this agreement was successfully transported on 21 January.

The partnership allows Thai VietJet to enhance its cargo offerings and optimise capacity utilisation on its daily BKK-BOM-BKK flights. The collaboration focuses on transporting general cargo, spare parts and e-commerce shipments in the bellyholds of Airbus A320/321 passenger aircraft. Key exports from Mumbai will include pharmaceuticals and garments, with transhipment opportunities in Bangkok to Thai VietJet’s broad route network.

Chirasak Chandratat, the managing director of AVS GSA Thailand, pointed out that “by leveraging the ECS Group’s capabilities we can enhance Thai VietJet’s cargo reach and deliver exceptional services to the market.” (ah)
