Prestigious awards for eco-friendly hauliers
German hauliers Götz Transport and Dankerts Spedition won prizes for the greatest CO2 reduction and the highest score for eco-friendly driving in 2022: nearly 11,000 drivers from 75 companies with 131 teams and around 7,000 vehicles took part in Add Secure’s Eco-Driving Challenge competition last year.
When comparing the results of 2022 with 2017, the year the Challenge started, calculations show that participating companies reduced their overall consumption by about 6.6 million litres of diesel annually. This cuts CO2 emissions by about 17,500 t and saves about EUR 11.9 million in costs, Add Secure said. (ben)
