Port of Rotterdam appoints regional German representative
Starting today, 1 December 2023, Ulrich Reuter represents the port of Rotterdam in the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. He succeeded Wolfgang Hönemann, who held this position for five years and retired recently.
North Rhine-Westphalia is an important region for the port of Rotterdam. The gateway’s authority has signed agreements for the optimisation of logistics connections, digitalisation and the energy transition with several ports in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Reuter has a background in publishing and politics.He was also a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament for several years, where he focused on infrastructure and logistics issues. (cj)
