Polish intermodal terminal opening in autumn
The Swiss combined transport operator Hupac is set to complete the construction of a terminal in Poland soon, which will provide new capacities for combined transport.The facility is located in Brwinów, about 15 km southwest of the Polish capital Warsaw. The 14 ha hub includes a transhipment yard covering 42,000 m2, four loading tracks with a minimum length of 750 m, office facilities and technical buildings.The transhipment facility will be commissioned in autumn. Containers will be loaded between road and rail for all types of intermodal units, including chemical products, Hupac said. (ben)
