Plans for a regular shuttle train


The volume of cargo shipments along the Trans-Caspian-Route, the so-called Middle Corridor, increased by 2.5 times and reached 1.5 million t in 2022.

 

Kazakhstan exported 6.5 times more goods compared to 2021, posting a total volume of 891,000 t. 33.600 teu were transported in containers, which is 33% more than in 2021, Kazakhstan Railways reported at a meeting of the International Association «Trans-Caspian International Transport Route».

 

During the meeting, agreements were signed on increasing the volume of cargo transports along the route for 2023, running a regular shuttle train on a fixed schedule and creating a single transit product. (ben)
