PISR finds new COO
Palau International Ship Registry (PISR) has announced the appointment of Captain Georgios Tsouris as its COO. In this newly created role, Tsouris will be the senior executive of the digital registry. A master mariner, he will operate from PISR’s headquarters in Greece.
Tsouris graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Oinoussae (Chios) in 1983. This was followed by 13 years’ service at sea as master mariner.
Tsouris obtained his master class A' certificate in 1996 and joined the operations department of Messrs J. Xylems Group as port captain in 1997. He is a clinical professor of industry at the University of Piraeus in Greece, lecturing in the MSC course in shipping management. (cj)
