Pilot project for e-trucks to start in Florida
The USA-based land transport group Crowley will work with autonomous e-truck specialist Terraline in a pilot project for the EV500 Test Truck, which is scheduled to beginn with Terraline’s trucks in 2024. The two companies also signed an agreement for a formal option to order the electric trucks for delivery in 2026.
Terraline’s EV500 truck is an autonomous-ready, battery-electric Class 8 long-haul truck with a range of 800-plus km.
The manufacturer will service Crowley’s Florida facilities in Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville and Miami to decrease its freight transportation emissions. Crowley provides land transportation in North and Central America with a network of multi-modal solutions. (ben)
