Physical and digital expansions in Frankfurt

Lufthansa Cargo is expecting the first of two converted A321F (28 t payload) in Frankfurt. Last weekend, the aircraft was flown from Singapore to Munich, where the technical transfer to Lufthansa Cityline will take place.

Air Canada Cargo has increased handling capacity at its Frankfurt hub (5,000 sqm) by 35% in preparation for the launching of its B767-300ER freighter service planned for later this year.

Airport operator Fraport has worked with software company Dakosy to digitally network the "fair@link" cargo community platform with the automatic licence plate detection system.

Starting immediately, the barriers at gates 31 and 32 of Cargo City South will automatically open for vehicles that have a confirmed time slot in the system for loading or unloading at one of the local forwarders. (ah)
