Pentagon acquires Carlborn
Pentagon Freight Services, headquartered in London and established in 1974, has acquired UK-based Carlborn Shipping.
Carlborn, founded in 1897 in UK with strong Scandinavian connections, specialises in the renewable energy market, particularly the North Sea offshore wind farms.
The family-owned business also looks after the interests of vessels and cargo owners using the River Humber and the ports of Immingham and Grimsby. This deal will be an add-on for Pentagon’s service portfolio, with 71 offices around the world and about 1,100 employees. (sh)
