Pasta pioneers in pallet pooling
Italian pasta manufacturer La Molisana is extending its partnership with Chep Italia, a provider of supply chain services and logistics solutions, until 2028.
The agreement focuses on pallet pooling services and collaborative transport solutions, which helped to streamline logistics processes and achieve environmental benefits in the first three years of collaboration: Between 2020 and 2022, 1,263 t of CO2 emissions and 1,093 cbm of wood for pallet production were saved and 102,000 t of waste avoided with this new pallet exchange system.
With Chep's track & trace solution, La Molisana has been improving traceability in supply chain management since February 2022. The company also introduced the "Mark 55" wooden pallet when entering the US market. (ah)
