Partnership to last four more years

A handling contract between Vienna airport (VIE) and Korean Air Cargo has been extended and will now run until the end of 2028.

Thus the Austrian airport, represented by Julian Jäger (on the right), joint CEO and COO, and Michael Zach (on the left), senior vice-president for ground handling and cargo operations, is continuing a partnership with the Korean carrier that’s already been in place since the airline’s first flight to Vienna in 2004.

VIE is an important gateway for electronic and pharma goods from Asia for Korean Air Cargo. Eum Jaedong (centre), executive vice-president and head of the freight division at Korean Air Cargo, is pleased that “we can now look forward to continue to provide our customers with the best possible transport services and further strengthening Vienna airport’s position as a major hub for logistics in Eastern Europe.” (ah)
