Panattoni builds for Amazon
Project developer Panattoni is developing a logistics real estate for Amazon in Salzgitter, Germany. At the distribution centre, incoming parcels from the retailer’s European logistics network will be sorted and picked up by local independent carriers to be delivered to customers.
This is the seventh property that Panattoni is realising for Amazon in Germany. Approximately 5,000 sqm of logistics space and almost 3,000 sqm of office space will be built on a total area of almost 50,000 sqm. Up to 400 parking spaces for delivery vehicles will be created.
The demolition work and construction began in June 2021, with completion scheduled for spring 2022. The land was brokered by the consultancy firm JLL. (sh)
