P3 lands port of Rouen contract

The port of Rouen, part of the French port group Haropa, wants to develop a logistics zone on a 22 ha tract of land at its container terminal. The property developer P3 has been selected to construct the zone. Rouen aims to position itself as a hub for container traffic that flows into France via the port of Le Havre.

The plans to create storage areas of up to 80,000 sqm in the logistics zone will require an investment of around EUR 6 million.

Christophe Chauvard, general manager of P3 Logistics Parks France, remarked: "The project at the Haropa port Rouen fits in with the growth strategy of P3 Logistics Parks. The site, which is some 80 km north of Paris, is ideal for a multimodal connection." (mw)
