P&O's decarbonisation strategy
P&O Maritime Logistics, part of DP World, has detailed its strategy for decarbonisation in a new industry whitepaper, which highlights the significant challenges in the search for suitable alternative fuels.
The whitepaper, which aligns with DP World's 'Our World, Our Future' strategy, underscores the need for accelerated innovation to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040 and net-zero emissions by 2050.
The company stresses the importance of collaboration, research, and proactive engagement in overcoming regulatory hurdles and the maritime offshore business model's focus on short-term contracts.
