Own entities in Morocco
Morocco is popular. Nippon Express Europe, a group company of Nippon Express Holdings (NXHD), has spun off two of its existing business locations in the Kingdom of Morocco – the Morocco branch and the Tanger Med logistics centre – into subsidiary companies.
The move follows the establishment of Nippon Express Morocco Sarlau in July and Nippon Express Morocco Free Zone Sarlau in August this year.
The group's business development in Morocco began in 2017 in Casablanca, which was followed by the opening of the Tanger Med logistics centre in the port of Tanger Med in 2019, to provide air/ocean freight forwarding and logistics services.
Morocco is Africa's second-largest automobile producer after the Republic of South Africa. Ever more automobile and automotive parts manufacturers are setting up plants in the country. (sh)
