Norway: service contract awarded for 100+ trains
The Norwegian transport provider Vy has awarded Stadler Rail a maintenance contract for more than 100 Flirt trains that were built by the Swiss company. The five-car electric multiple units (EMUs) operate mainly in the greater Oslo area.
The full service contract, which will run until the end of 2024, is worth around CHF 1 million including options The Vy contract is Stadler’s largest-ever service order in terms of fleet size. Stadler will carry out the maintenance work in leased depots from Q1/2020. (ben)
