New WMS installed in Sweden
MQ Marqet, a major retailer for fashion in Sweden, has put its logistics on a new footing. Its logistics provider DB Schenker has implemented Auto Store, an automated goods-to-person system, in its Gothenburg warehouse, for automated online order fulfilment and a returns handling solution.
The automated storage and retrieval system uses warehouse robots to deliver and retrieve bins for operators. The overall solution also includes a sorting plant and a section for hanging garments – i.e. for e-commerce and store-replenishment operations at MQ Marqet. DB Schenker is celebrating its 150th company anniversary this year. (sh)
