New ties in Mantova
A contract between shipper Adidas and Kuehne + Nagel has paved the way for a new warehouse in Northern Italy. The result will be an automated, omni-channel 130,000 sqm dedicated fulfilment centre in Mantova and is scheduled to enter service in 2024.
The fulfilment centre will supply Adidas stores, retail shops, wholesalers and e-commerce customers in 19 countries in Southern and Eastern Europe.
While the centre is set to process 18,000 packages per hour, it also "fulfils its requirements for sustainable CO2-neutral operations", said K+N in a press release. The new facility is located close to the A22 highway and the international river port of Valdaro. (sh)
