New tech partnership to drive eco-initiatives

United European Car Carriers (UECC) has partnered with Daphne Technology to install Pure Metrics, an advanced emissions monitoring system, on its 2022-built vehicle carrier, “Auto Aspire”.

Set to be operational in early 2025, the system will provide real-time emissions data for the carrier’s three-engine configuration, supporting UECC in surpassing EU monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) standards.

Pure Metrics will help UECC establish precise emissions baselines and aid in data-driven decision-making for optimising vessel performance and reducing emissions to meet sustainability goals. The collaboration underscores UECC’s commitment to an environmentally responsible automotive supply chain and aligns with EU emissions reduction regulations, solidifying its competitive position in European ports.
