New software for Europart
The spare parts distributor Europart recently started using the time slot management system developed by Cargoclix in its central warehouse in Werl (North Rhine Westphalia, Germany). With the help of the IT specialist’s cloud-based software, the company optimises the use of its ramps for incoming goods in the 39,000 sqm distribution hub.
The IT system makes sure that there are no long lines of trucks or transporters waiting to be unloaded in front of the facility. To begin with, the software will be deployed at nine of the 15 ramps at the goods entrance.
More than 300 trucks and transporters per month can thus be processed without delays. About 200 suppliers deliver their wares to Werl or send them by forwarders. Some 45,000 products are permanently available for customers in the central warehouse, which is equipped with 15 ramps for incoming goods and 40 ramps for outgoing goods. (mw)
