New model extends green medium-duty segment
Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) is starting Freightliner eM2 series production at its manufacturing plant in Portland, Oregon (USA).
Designed for pick-up and delivery applications, the battery electric medium-duty truck is one of now ten battery electric vehicles Daimler Truck has in series production worldwide. The eM2 is built on the Freightliner platform and follows the introduction of the battery electric Freightliner eCascadia in 2022.
The first production units will be delivered in the USA to Ferguson, Hogan Truck Leasing, Titan Freight Systems and Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing. In Canada, the first trucks will go to Brossard Leasing and Day & Ross, DTNA said. (ben)
