New mega trailers to transport car components
In Sweden, Dachser is organising the transport of replacement parts for Volvo Cars from Torslanda, a suburb of Gothenburg, to Dachser’s subsidiary in Gothenburg and from there to Volvo Cars’ warehouses in Germany.
Dachser has invested in two new mega trailers and developed a dynamic loading service for this project. In its own Gothenburg terminal, Volvo Cars loads one entire trailer at a time with the ordered and packaged replacement parts destined for Germany. Then the goods are sorted in Dachser’s Gothenburg branch and distributed to Volvo Cars‘ warehouses in Germany. (ben)
