New maritime organisation in Normandy
The Ports Normand Associés and the Port de Dieppe recently formed the Ports of Normandy authority (PdN). The trade body met for the first time at the beginning of 2019, and elected Hervé Morin as president.
PdN plays a vital role in the strategy of the Normandy region, the Calvados, Manche and Seine-Maritime departments and the agglomerations of Caen sur Mer, Cotentin and Dieppe to promote Normandy’s maritime economy. The creation of this regional port player will allow the implementation of a port strategy in Normandy.
The PdN, owner of the ports of Caen-Ouistreham, Cherbourg and Dieppe, manages and develops the port areas, guarantees the safety and security of nautical access, and defines a sustainable development policy for its three ports, among other activities. (kd)
