New location for contract logistics
Logistics real estate developer Habacker + Thielemann is building a state-of-the-art e-commerce logistics centre with two halls measuring around 22,000 sqm on a 43,000 sqm site in Bönen near Dortmund (Germany), for Recht Kontraktlogistik.
Construction will start shortly and completion is scheduled for the end of Q1/2024. Recht Kontraktlogistik has eleven locations throughout Germany, from where the company, which was founded in 1932, now handles factory, distribution, and warehouse transports for a large number of well-known customers, as well as providing warehouse logistics services.
Recht Kontraktlogistik will use the Bönen facility to store, customise and distribute goods for an international tool manufacturer. By installing photovoltaics, LED lighting with intelligent control as well as an interior and exterior power and charging infrastructure for e-vehicles, Habacker + Thielemann plans to ensure that the new location will comply with the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council.
