New Ireland-France service in 2021
In January 2021 DFDS will launch a new freight ferry service between Dunkirk in northern France and Rosslare in the Republic of Ireland. The route will be operated with three ferries, each with a capacity for up to 125 trucks. There will be six weekly departures from each port, either in the afternoon or evening, with a crossing time of 24 h.
"We are delighted to offer our customers from EU countries the option to transport their goods directly and without customs formalities and possible waiting times to the Republic of Ireland," says Torben Carlsen, CEO of DFDS. The service will open at the same time as Brexit comes into effect. (cd)
