New hub to solve capacity problems

The general cargo cooperation Online Systemlogistik (OSL) will start operating a western hub at the facility of its system partner Rottbeck in Bottrop, Germany, this summer.

Goods handling is to start on 1 August 2022 at the latest; 52 gates and 6,000 sqm of logistics space will be available for this purpose. The western hub is primarily intended to relieve the German central hub in Schlitz.

With 221 gates and 15,500 sqm of space, this hub reaches its capacity limits at peak times. The situation has become even worse since the beginning of 2022, as eight new partners have joined the general cargo cooperation. 89 European logistics companies have joined the OSL network to date. (ben)
