New general manager for Crown Couriers
Crown Couriers has appointed Steve Rushton as general manager. Rushton has already been working with the company, responding to the surge in demand during the pandemic and the current lockdown. One key line of the company's business is in pharmaceuticals.
Rushton joins Crown Couriers with 27 years' experience in the field which enables him to respond quickly to meet increased requirements while still achieving just-in-time deliveries. He has led the operations team to prioritise its fleet of more than 800 drivers to focus on the essential elements of the supply chain, deploying extra resources to meet spikes in demand as required.
As well as managing over 800 drivers and vehicles, Rushton also oversees 40 customer service advisors and three direct reports, while he reports directly to the company's MD Tim Seagers. (mw)
