New European hub at German-Austrian border
Hellmann has opened its first Austrian direct load branch in Kufstein. The global logistics service provider has had a successful presence in the Austrian market for 15 years, with a particular focus on air and sea freight.
The company is now planning to add trucking services to its portfolio and use the Kufstein location to dispatch full and partial truckloads to destinations in Europe and Austria in the future.
In setting up this new branch in Kufstein, which is a hub for overland transports in Austria due to its favourable geographical location, the forwarder is gaining access to another important market in the heart of Europe.
At the same time, Hellmann is creating an additional gateway to Southeast Europe and Italy, which will also significantly strengthen the existing connections to and from Eastern Europe, the company said. (ben)
