New direct rail service between Wels and Lubeck
Forwarders in the alpine region now have a direct, reliable and eco-friendly service to Scandinavia at their disposal. The Rail Cargo Group (RCG), an OeBB subsidiary, has launched a twice-weekly nonstop service between Wels (Austria) and Lubeck, Germany’s largest Baltic Sea port.
The new rail service is Austria's first direct link to the Scandinavian region, and it also provides seamless access to other centres in Austria via the Wels terminal, as well as to international hubs in Italy, Switzerland and southeastern Europe as far as Greece and Turkey. (ben)
