New building for Amazon
Online retailer Amazon has awarded a contract to Bremer AG and Garbe Industrial Real Estate to begin construction of a new distribution centre in Emden, Lower Saxony/Germany. The logistics property is being built on a 30,500 sqm site on the Frisia Industrial and Commercial Campus.
"The distribution centre will be equipped with seven van loading gates and five ground-level gates. So, a typical last mile property," explains Jan Dietrich Hempel, managing director of Garbe Industrial Real Estate GmbH. In addition, parking spaces for 74 cars and 224 vans will be created on the site. The new building is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2021. (cd)
