New BBC vessel arrives in Cuxhaven
BBC Chartering celebrated the first port call of its new vessel, “MV BBC Leer”, in Cuxhaven, Germany. The "Laker Max"-series ship, designed for efficient cargo transport, discharged windmill blades from Mexico.
The vessel is equipped with two Liebherr cranes, offering a combined lifting capacity of up to 500 t. It features spacious cargo holds and a weather deck, allowing for significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions per freight tonne. After Cuxhaven, the vessel will continue its voyage to the Middle East. (pb)
