New air cargo service between Europe and China
A.P. Moller - Maersk (Maersk) has launched a new air cargo service with scheduled flights between Billund (BLL) in Denmark and Hangzhou (HGH) near Shanghai. The new offer is Maersk's response to increasing customer demand.
The scheduled Europe-Asia operation with three weekly flights took off on 20 March 2023, introducing the first of three newly converted Boeing 767-300 freighters recently purchased for Maersk Air Cargo. All Europe-China flights are operated by Maersk's cargo airline.
The new corridor from Billund Airport will significantly improve connectivity for high-value and time-sensitive cargo between Scandinavia, Northern Europe including Germany, as well as the entire Asia-Pacific region. (cj)
