Neo Air Charter scores in Doha
The on-board courier (OBC) division of the Frankfurt-based Neo Air Group recently shipped an urgent and valuable piece of broadcast equipment to Doha just 19 hours after an initial enquiry from Elite – despite severe restrictions on entry to the country on account of football’s ongoing Fifa World Cup (‘Hayya Card’).
After locating a courier who already held the necessary paperwork, the booking was confirmed to Elite, and the shipment – measuring 60 x 30 x 20 cm and weighing 12 kg – was then dispatched by road from Berlin to Frankfurt. It was handed over at 19.13, departed Frankfurt at 20.20 as scheduled, and arrived in Doha at 04.20 the next morning – just 19 hours after the first call from Elite.
“We’re very pleased that it all went to plan, and that we played a part in bringing the World Cup to fans watching at home,” said Neo OBC manager Philip Luz. (cj)
