NCRR: new rail spur
The North Carolina Railroad Company (NCRR) is one of several partners named in the recent announcement that Liberty Storage Solutions is expanding its facility in Davie County.
The storage shed manufacturer and distributor is building a new manufacturing facility at its Mocksville headquarters, where it will expand manufacturing production to include metal components, carports, barns and tiny houses as well as opening the site to transloading opportunities with its other locations in the state.
NCRR is investing USD 350,000 to assist in the construction of a new rail spur that will serve the facility and allow for Class I freight service by Norfolk Southern. NCRR owns and manages the 510 km rail corridor that stretches from Charlotte to the Port Terminal in Morehead City in the eastern part of the USA. (ben)
