MSC Air Cargo banks on Descartes
MSC Air Cargo, the cargo airline which the MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company launched in 2022, has adopted the Descartes Air Messaging solution to better manage airfreight shipments.
The software developed by the Descartes Systems Group, a logistics technology platform, helps standardise electronic communication between stakeholders in the air cargo supply chain, including freight forwarders, ground handling agents (GHA) and government agencies.
Designed specifically for the air cargo industry, Descartes Air Messaging simplifies the labour-intensive process of gathering shipment information along the air cargo supply chain from stakeholders that have disparate data standards, connectivity requirements and various systems. (cj)
