More ULCV for CMA CGM
China's CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard, an affiliate of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, has delivered another 23,000 teu dual-fuel containership to Marseille-based shipping company CMA CGM. The newbuild, CMA CGM Trocadero, is 399.9 m in length and 61.3 m in width.
The vessel is the eighth of nine vessels CMA CGM Group ordered at two CSSC's yards, CSSC Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding and CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard.
CMA CGM Trocadero left China for its maiden voyage on 29 May and is intended to be deployed on CMA CGM's Asia-Europe service.
The French Group reported a 4% overall reduction in its CO2 emissions in 2020. The liner also plans to offer a biomethane-fuelled shipping service. (cd)
