More than EUR 5 billion for key infrastructure
A call for proposals has been launched under the connecting Europe facility (CEF) for transport programme. It makes EUR 5.12 billion available for projects aimed at upgrading and improving European transport infrastructure.
Projects funded under this call will help to increase the sustainability of the transport network, putting the EU on track to meet the European Green Deal objective of cutting transport emissions by 90% by 2050.
The EU needs an efficient and interconnected multimodal transport system and a balanced interconnection between different modes of transport and an increased automation and interoperability of the transport network. Applicants should submit their project proposal before 18 January 2023. (ben)
