Ascend has acquired Fuchs Trucking, based in Wisconsin. The acquisition augments capacity and services and deepens Ascend’s footprint in the upper Midwest of USA.
Fuchs is the fourth transportation company acquired by Ascend since its launch in January 2022. Fuchs Trucking was founded in 1955, hauling livestock and forest products. As the business evolved, Fuchs shifted its focus to serving customers in the building materials and furniture sectors.
The acquisition increases Ascend’s assets to more than 1,100 tractors and more than 3,200 trailers. The short-haul shipping specialist has asset-based operations in the South, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest. (ben)
