More sustainability with leased Euro Dual

Germany-based rail transport company BBL is adding a new Euro-Dual locomotive to its fleet. The young leasing company European Loc Pool (ELP) will deliver the unit before the end of December.

BBL will use the Euro Dual mainly for transporting building materials, particularly gravel, from the manufacturing plant to the construction site.

The new traction unit is a six-axle hybrid locomotive with a capacity of up to 2.8 MW diesel, 6.2 MW electric and500 kN tractive force. The locomotive can thus be deployed on electrified and non-electrified lines and for last-mile and shunting operations as well. (ben)
