More room for food and pharma logistics
Greiwing Logistics has completed an expansion scheme at its site in Duisburg (Germany) according to plan. The scheme comprised a EUR 6 million logistics hall with 8,000 pallet slots that was specially designed for storing food and pharmaceutical products and built within a year.
The project raises Greiwing’s storage capacity to a total of 77,000 pallet slots. The hall will be used to tranship products in big bags and sacks into silo trailers. The new facility also has a silo tower with three 120 cbm filling silos.
Filling and refilling loose goods will be accomplished according to clean room standards. The number of jobs at the Duisburg site has increased by 22 to 158. (mw)
