More hinterland connections for German seaports
As part of its German network, IGS Intermodal Container Logistics will connect its Heilbronn location with the German seaports Hamburg and Bremerhaven as from April 2020. Initially, the container trains will run three times per week and direction on this route.
The company is also planning to add more services to the Heilbronn terminal’s portfolio: for instance, besides container handling and the intermediate storage of full containers the hub will now also offer empty-depot management, repairs, container washing and all other services involving empty containers. Furthermore, the terminal operator will be in charge of trucking the containers on the first and the last mile. (ben)
