More e-commerce via Hannover-Messe
In Hanover, Germany, the Bertelsmann Group affiliate Arvato Supply Chain Solutions is expanding its capacities to handle the online business for a sporting goods manufacturer and a customer from the beauty and cosmetics industry.
A new logistics centre measuring around 47,000 sqm at the Hannover-Messe site has been developed for this purpose. It will provide all e-commerce logistics services for the B2C business of both customers, which includes warehousing, order picking, packaging, distribution and returns management.
Arvato has been operating a 60,000 sqm logistics and distribution hub at the Hannover-Messe site since 2015. This facility handles mainly online orders for companies from the fashion and lifestyle industry. (sh)
