More commodities know-how at Hill Dickinson
Hill Dickinson has employed trade finance and commodities law specialist Devottam Sengupta in its Singapore office, adding his expertise as support for its commodities activities in the Far East and the rest of Asia.
Sengupta joins the firm as partner. His appointment follows the arrival in July of commodities dispute specialist Iain Sharp. The Singapore team will work closely with Hill Dickinson’s shipping and trade lawyers in London, Hong Kong and Greece.
Sengupta, who is also an expert in Indian law, is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa (India), and joins Hill Dickinson from Greensill Capital in Singapore. He was previously co-head of the global markets and financing legal team at Louis Dreyfus Company. (cd)
