More capacities to the Canary Islands

Since they launched the project in November 2018, the shipping companies Baleària and Fred. Olsen Express have jointly transported a total of 1 million linear meters of merchandise between the Canary Islands and the port of Huelva.

Last November, on the fourth anniversary of the birth of this line, the shipping companies announced the increase from two to three weekly frequencies, with the introduction of a ro-ro ship destined exclusively for cargo. T

his new rotation, which in principle was intended as a provisional reinforcement for the Christmas season, will be maintained throughout the year.

Once the ship arrives at the port, the goods continue their journey towards their final destination, which translates into a transit time of less than 40 hours, specifically 34 hours for the Peninsula to the Canary Islands direction, and 38 for the reverse route. (sh)
